The thing is, people just aren't strict enough with blams. I've heard that they were once, but now, tons of stuff that just shouldn't be saved, passes Judgment. So what evidence is there to say that crappy random video logs won't pass? I mean, there's plenty of crap and spam filling the Portal already, so video logs and random stupidity would just be the next step in the YouTubification of Newgrounds. Not that video should be banned or anything, after all, the biggest thing to come out of Newgrounds was Numa Numa, and some of the My NG movies aren't too terrible, but I don't quite know about allowing it in large quantities either.
Perhaps there should be a process similar to the one in the Audio Portal, where a hypothetical video mod would review videos, determine if they're NG appropriate, and ban users who submit crappy videos. Then a "Video Portal" would be established, where these videos would be showcased. At the same time, home movies would be discouraged on the Portal, either by the Whistle or by other means. That way, home movies would find a place here, but would not overrun the real Portal. Oh, and like in the Audio Portal, these video submissions, in this scenario, wouldn't count for points, adding a protection against YouTubification.
It was so funny! I love the part when you karate chop the guitar like you were giving it a back massage, so funny. BTW how far can you get on the song expert, I can get about 22%. Anyways, great video.

Is video a step in the next direction for NG? Maybe. It's a step in the next direction for me. Making games has always been my thing, with a little bit of animation thrown in there too. But I just want to entertain people, that doesn't mean it has to be with a flash game. Video is fun to make, it's more engaging than sitting in front of the computer all day and typing lines of code. Just enough to be a nice break in between making your next game or animation. I think other developers could agree :)

Maybe you could play Dragonforce's Fury of the Storm on Guitar Hero, without any faults? If you can, videotape it and put in on... I don't know... NG and Youtube? cuz like most of the Guitar Heroes on Youtube kinda suck...
